Recorded summer 2006 in Berkeley, CA. There were two versions of The Lion EP. This is the second version, with a newer mix of "A Great Day At The Beach" as a bonus track (the original of which was on the first version), a recording of "Fear pt. 2" that wasn't put on an EP/LP, the undiscoverable "(This Place Is) Open 24 Hours" and the young Ben Sinclair-approved track "John Acquadro In The Desert." Spencer Owen also provides the drums on "Sportswriter."
