If you wanna raise a barn, you don't need to father it If you wanna shoot a horse, you don't need to kill it If you wanna buy some time, you don't need to purchase it Life spreads best during winter when snow covers all the rifts That springtime birthing story's a modern day science myth If you wanna shoot a picture, you don't need to kill it If you wanna buy the farm, you won't need equipment Rivers of greed run east of our modest, honest state Did you go on the faith walk, like a banquet on a love-sized plate? If you wanna shoot a horse, you don't need to break it If you wanna raise some hell, it helps if you're dedicated Cars pass through neighboorhoods that stink of moral decay I got on a plane right out of there, my gold cross on display

In a user-friendly application, you don't have to do a thing You just stand there waitin' for them to paint the hood of your lid And maybe on your way back I could have you pick up a meal We could have a fast food shake in the middle of a golden field Na na na na, I don't have a single desire Na na na na, that makes me fool-proof Na na na na, I'm gonna age well Na na na na, I'm so resigned In a suit that's made for judgment and reason, you look well fit I have to patch my roof so the 'copter doesn't kick up shit On your way to the courthouse, could you maybe make me a score? Passion fades 'cause joy gets boring and I can't see you anymore Na na na na, I didn't put out a fire Na na na na, that makes me burnt

Metal Ward 02:12
I let my doctor decide what to do with my body I used to run outside, now it is your hobby I used to have a bride, now she is with Bobby

Nature Walk 02:01
We walked over the mountain
 We set for the dynamite
 We drove through the roadway
We kept the pictures of the mountain Then you turned to Alice Told her 'bout your nature Said it wasn't natural pointed to the highway
Said that wasn't nature
It was made by humans Then she went and kissed you Isn't she an animal? We walked towards the spaceship
We left, we left this planet
We live, we live in the solar system now Then you turned to Alice Told her 'bout our statues Marble can't describe it
Space destroys your headache You thought of the pigeons
They thought of some breadcrumbs Everybody got drunk – there were no distinctions

You were designed to be loved by a large group of followers who will follow you to their graves You can repay their devotion by meeting their demands for nourishment, for nourishment You can pick up your plate that you threw at the trash can and push aside the dogs that are licking up the crumbs and dust those crumbs into your palms and deliver those crumbs to the ones that love you and meet their demands for nourishment and meet their demands for nourishment You don't need to ask someone for directions You have found our northern sun, the one that shows connections You are going to grow at will Your thoughts will produce food I don't know why I lost my faith in you You are the only one I love, through and through I'll give up the illusion of time for you
6.
I'm wearing my bright orange shield tonight I feel awake
VHS grain on the subway
You know it's tape Our concept of time Morning classes Headphone sounds There is no hype Only sound effects Under the ground
7.
Down where the farmland meets the city Everybody's waitin' for things to get pretty People in the fields are makin' these bells That chime all night if you hit 'em well and I don't want that to change and I don't want that to change Down where the city meets a lake The kids swim all day 'cause life is cake The school is closed 'cause people hate lies So the kids swim around and imagine new skies and I don't want that to change and I don't want that to change Down where the lake place meets the world The financial district is appropriately gray The map it was built from was never unfurled And the colors inside just stayed that way and I don't want that to change and I don't want that to change Down where the world meets the personal soul People keeps secret from the young and the old They write some of them down, and some of them they don't And some of them they'll tell and some of them they won't and I don't want that to change and I don't want that to change Down where the soul meets eternity There's a boy and a hammer and a pathetic tree You try to tell me you don't wanna chop it down You try to act like you don't like choppin' sounds and like you don't want that to change and like you don't want that to change
8.
When the caterpillar you put in your mouth turns into a butterfly I hope it snacks fulfilled on the cookie you've also been holding in there for it Yet somehow you still find the talk to read law books out at me And restrain and put in a car my body to take it away to a jail Hey do you like the soundtracks when you watch the movie? Well I've got a score that'll make your film go fast When we meet at the bottom of the gutter I'll destroy your ladder back up to the sidewalk That's what you say to refuse my offer and I receive that skeptically Why do you bother when you won't call yourself a success later? Don't not now nor never Why do you bother when you won't call yourself a success later? Don't not now nor never You would call me a troublemaker for pointing out the color of the sky that wraps your body You call it an office or his uniform that you wear to modify the discontinuation of order Yet somehow I fancy you a flesh man when at home and in a robe, does that go crazy? I think it keeps it in without imagination while me and my compatriots free lightning from its bird cage The bolts of old gods that have beards that tickled my sleeping neck at a day job Just unlock these keychains that hold society within the fences of a slaughterhouse that you call inevitable age We have the magic fingers attached to bodies that will destroy the embryos of destruction Why do you bother when you won't call yourself a success later? Don't not now nor never Why do you bother when you won't call yourself a success later? Don't not now nor never

David, it's packed The sermon you'll deliver will make your children shiver when the door breaks But the air that blows through Let's just say that you could sell it either way but you might end up letting them decide That's not a liquid You're not skating That's not the ground What've you made happen? David, it's real The church you bought is the church I sought for a long time But we can still hang Let's meet up at the European shop that only sells collectibles That's not a prison You're not spinning That's not a highway Where'd you get that? But here's an empty field Fill it up with actors and a camera and some dialogue You might have something there A series of written actions becoming experience as it's videotaped

ANYONE INTERESTED IN A TV SHOW ABOUT TWO RIVAL HAIRDRESSERS WHO BOND OVER THEIR SHARED FEAR OF THE VIRGIN GALACTIC ENTERPRISE? I ALWAYS PICTURED THE GLASS HOUSE YOU CAN'T THROW STONES FROM AS SITTING ATOP A TALL GRASSY HILL AND CONSTANTLY FILLED WITH GOLDEN SUNLIGHT I'M REALLY PROUD OF EVERYONE FOR STICKING TO THEIR GOALS YESTERDAY THE PARTY GOT SO OUT OF CONTROL THAT I HAD TO HIDE IN THE SHOWER AND CRY IN THE FUTURE, POLITICS WILL BE JUST ANOTHER COPYRIGHTED COMMODITY THAT PEOPLE ARE DOWNLOADING WILLY-NILLY FROM PEER-TO-PEER NETWORKS HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU KNOW WHO LISTENED TO JAZZ AND HAD THEIR LIVES TURN OUT THE WAY THEY PLANNED? QUIT THE INTERNET AND SUBSCRIBE TO MY POPCORN POEM SERVICE MY YEAR CODE WOULD BE 1897 IF I LIVED IN 1897 AND CHOSE THE 1897 YEAR SERVICE-RATE I HAVE A CROSS-PRINCIPLED TEXT OF INTER-MORAL VALUES THAT'LL ENABLE ME TO RUN ON VARIOUS PLATFORMS OF THE COURSE OF MULTIPLE GENERATIONS AFTER MONTHS OF CONTEMPLATION DEEP IN NATURE, I WILL NO LONGER ASSUME THAT EVERYONE I MEET IS SANE YELLED AT A PEDESTRIAN, "DO YOU LIVE HERE OR WHAT?" THE REPLY HEARD AS WE DROVE AWAY, "NO, WHY, DO I LOOK LIKE I DO?" THE THING THAT PLATO GOT WRONG IS THAT SHADOWS ARE AWESOME I'M NOT GONNA DATE YOUR SISTER JUST BECAUSE SHE HAS HAIR O' THE COLOR OF DIAMONDS I'M NOT GONNA DATE YOUR SISTER JUST BECAUSE SHE HAS HAIR O' THE COLOR OF DIAMONDS I'M NOT GONNA DATE YOUR SISTER JUST BECAUSE SHE HAS HAIR O' THE COLOR OF DIAMONDS I'M NOT GONNA DATE YOUR SISTER JUST BECAUSE SHE HAS HAIR O' THE COLOR OF DIAMONDS
