In the summer of 2003, I recorded a lot of music, and as usual I made several alternate tracklists for an album summarizing the era. This was the first version of what became The Vagues, and was probably called "Kill The Precedent" until I realized that a band on Epitaph had already used that title. "The Vagues" ended up using four tracks from this sequence, and drew from the entirety of 2003.
